The IGS collects, archives, and distributes GPS observation data sets of sufficient accuracy to satisfy the objectives of a wide range of applications and experimentation. These data sets are used by the IGS to generate the data products which are made available to interested users through this website.

Broadcast Ephemeris

The Ephemeris View icon of the GPS group allows you to open the Ephemeris View.

The Ephemeris View displays the list of the ephemeris which were imported to the current project. The right panel of the view displays:

  • the operational part of the broadcast navigation message for GPS, Glonass and Galileo ephemeris.
  • the true coordinates and velocity of the GPS, Glonass and Galileo satellites for precise ephemeris.

You cannot edit any parameters in the view.

Import Precise Ephemeris

  • Once you have downloads the SP3 file, containing the precise ephemeris, from ftp://cddis.gsfc.nasa.gov/gnss/products/, MAGNET Tools allows to import that data file.
  • In the Job tab select Import, specify the format as SP3 and browse the file location.
