HiPer VR: LED display panel

This article will go over the functions and meaning of the LED lights on the HiPer VR’s display.

Power Button

  • Power on: press and hold for 1 second
  • Power off: press and hold for 3-10 seconds. Release when the STAT LED turns yellow.
  • Start/Stop Data Logging: press 3 times in a row within 2 seconds
  • Toggle between Static and Kinematic post processing: press 2 times in a row within 1 second
  • Factory Reset/Clear NVRAM: 10-15 seconds
  • Emergency Power Off: press and hold for 60 seconds

Status LEDs

Tracking status LED: the number of blinks indicates the number of tracked satellites.

  • Green: GPS
  • Yellow: GLONASS
  • Cyan: Galileo
  • Magenta: BeiDou
  • Blue: QZSS
  • White: Lband Satellite
  • Red:
    • 1 blink per second: no satellites/no solution
    • 2 blinks per second: receiver is in exception mode
  • Alternating Red, green, and yellow: expired OAF

Recording LED

  • Green blink: file logging in progress
  • Red solid: No free memory/hardware problem
  • Off: no data being logged

    When in occupation mode:

  • Green blink: file logging in progress while in Static mode
  • Yellow blink: file logging in progress while in Kinematic mode
  • Red solid: No free memory/hardware problem

Bluetooth LED

  • Blue blink: Bluetooth is on
  • Blue solid: Bluetooth is connected
  • Blue solid + blue blink every 10 seconds: multiple valid Bluetooth connections

Radio LED: for UHF Modem

Rover and Base

  • Alternating Red, Green, no light: Magnet Field or TRU sends commands to configure the modem.

Rover mode

  • Solid green: Modem is not receiving correction data
  • Yellow blink: Modem is receiving corrections from a base

Base mode

  • Solid green: modem is not receiving correction data
  • Red blink: modem is transmitting correction data.

Retranslator mode (Base)

  • Yellow Blink – Red Blink: Modem is receiving and transmitting correction data.

Radio LED: FH915+ Modem

Rover and Base

  • Alternating Red, Green, no light: Magnet Field or TRU sends commands to configure the modem.

Rover mode

  • Green blink: Modem not synchronized with base
  • Green solid: Modem synchronized with base and ready to receive correction data
  • Yellow: Modem receives correction data from base

Base mode

  • Red solid: Modem transmits correction data

Battery

While receiver is on

  • Green solid: Charge above 50%
  • Yellow solid: Charge between 10% and 50%
  • Red solid: Charge less than 10%

Receiver connected to external power

  • Green solid: Fully charged
  • Green blink: Charging battery, battery above 50%
  • Yellow blink: Charging battery, battery above 10%
  • Red blink: Charging battery, battery above 10%
