This guide will help install and update MAGNET field onboard for a Total station by simply using a thumb drive and untethered version of the executable installation file, no internet access required.

Installing MAGNET Field Onboard untethered version

  • Download installer file extension .exe.
  • Rename installation file using this template as an example:
  •        setup_version.exe
  • Place file on root directory of the thumb drive
  • Then place the thumb drive on the USB port of the total station

Execute installer by initiating the instrument on update mode

  • To place the total station into Update Mode simply:
    • Power off instrument
    • Press the Prism key, the light key and hold these 2 keys, press and release the power ON key.
    • Total station will then read file and proceed to the installation
    • Read instructions on screen of Total Station and follow step by step until installation is completed
