MAGNET Office: Making a 3D Model from a CAD File - Set Elevation by Intersection

Using the "Set Elevation by Intersection" routine in MAGNET Office to elevate 2D entities based on where they cross previously-elevated 3D entities. This is similar to a "Drape" function.

To assign elevation by intersection, follow the steps below:

  • Select the "By Intersection" routine from the Elevate section of the Model tab in MAGNET Office
  • Select line, arc, polyline or string to set elevations by intersections with other entities
  • Entity selected will be elevated based on its intersection with available 3D entities crossed. 
  • Select additional entities to be elevated or ESC to finish
